Animal Rights and Environmental Argumentative Essay Topics

Animal Rights and Environmental Argumentative Essay TopicsIn an environmental argumentative essay topics animals are often a strong motivator for change. You might want to write an essay about a proposal to eradicate the invasive and threatened musk oxes in Yellowstone National Park, or more recently elephants, from the park, or even within the park itself. In this kind of essay animal rights and environmental issues are often intertwined.I don't think I have ever seen a topic that has animal rights and environmental argumentative essay topics that have as clear a connection as animals and the environment. The argument here is that because animals are living things, they should be given rights. Just as the animals' rights movement promotes animal welfare, the environmental argument also promotes environmental protection and the conservation of our planet, which might include wildlife, wilderness areas, and ecosystems.Environmental argumentative essay topics animals can be linked with animals and wildlife that many people do not realize. For example, have you ever watched wild animals, especially the animals in zoos? They seem to have less respect than the 'real' animals that are roaming free in nature. Are you curious about why? Well, a good idea would be to link it to the environmental argument, and you would come up with the statement that wild animals are the basis of the environmental argument. When wild animals roam free and are not under the control of humans they receive the same respect, care, and protection as any other living thing. Why?Because wild animals are part of the environment and they provide a service to the ecosystem. If they were not there, then we would not have the recycling, respiration, carbon sequestration, and nutrient cycling that all wildlife provides. Thus, wild animals make up a vital part of the environment and are a natural part of it. They are natural stewards of the environment and should be protected. In a manner of speaking, the environmental argument is a form of human rights. And so, you might consider the environmental argument as being not only ecological in its goals but also just as meaningful. It is a form of solidarity, but not simply solidarity in terms of how much the environment is cared for, but in terms of how well the environment is cared for. In a sense, it's about how much support the environment receives from the rest of the world.Just as humans are part of the ecology, so are animals and that's why environmental argumentative essay topics animals are often connected with wildlife. Although we are creatures of the earth, it's safe to say that the environment is a much larger 'organism' in its own right. And the entire world is affected by the environment. As a result, I think it's important to recognize that animals are part of the environmental discussion and argumentative essay topics animals often include this. In fact, many environmentalist groups will tend to feature animals in thei r campaign against wildlife killing. But regardless of whether or not animals are discussed as part of the environmental argument, I feel like they should always be included, for they truly are a part of the ecosystem.

Despite the fact that fundamental projects of bookkeeping programming have been planned suitably for the basic administration of foundational budgetary exchanges, various modern bundles of programming hold the key intension for completely coordinating every single exchange that has been identified with the business. This is the underlying stride for manifesting the decided moment of the item. The general ability for the affirmation about requirement for starting stream, the request identified with the means, the requirement for tending to certain elements and what the general extent of achievement will be for the association in actualizing the new framework. The arrangement of usage is the setting of the particular choices that are ought to be made with respect to things of stock, quantities of merchants and quantities of client and outline of accounts. Due to the dull characteristic of various assignments in bookkeeping, there is no refusal in the certainty with respect to why there is robotized of errands. With progression in the innovation of programming and equipment, there has been an expanded customization and refinement of bookkeeping programming for certain necessities of the business. Venture wide and bookkeeping programming give unfathomable competent, perplexing and capable devices fo r the gathering of information in mass (Anandarajan, Anandarajan and Srinivasan 2012). This information is further vital for supporting the choices of business directing worldwide operations and requiring data in a number of outside coinages. Likewise, specific bundles of bookkeeping programming are capable of obliging certain requirements of modern data by certain novel procedures of business. Choice of Programming: Contentions and Supports: Adempiere is a product bundle of big business asset that are arranged and discharged in connection with a free permit of programming. The particular word implies for satisfaction or for achievement of the selection of an accurate programming. The permit of this programming is under the Overall population Permit (GNU). On the other hand, considering the term of the fork, Adempiere wind up achieving mainly five rankings on SourceForge.net and staying on the open source venture at top positions for a drawn out stretch of time (Ahmad 2013). The action of this product is pivotal in giving a measure identified with the size required in every last engineer group, while likewise influencing the open source programming business sector of ERP. Apache OFBiz can be recognized as a system giving a typical model of information and a rich blend of procedure in business. Every single application is built up over a typical engineering by the utilization of procedure, rationale and regular information part (Bansal and Negi 2008). Separated from the system itself, Apache OFBiz has been putting forth usefulness. E-Pastry kitchen Programming is a to a great degree easy to use, basic bread shop programming of work process. The key highlights identified with the product can be empowered by purpose of offers. There untruths a simple design identified with the setup and meaning of thing certain significant features related to this software enhanced the scope for selecting this particular system. Some of the features are as follows (Emerson et al. 2011): Defining and categorizing the item POS Managing the delivery Managing and closing the inventory Managing the order and sales Managing the complaint of customer Reminders and Alerts Reporting of MIS Accounting Managing the franchise Centralizing the report and controlling of data Selection of Vendor Comparing and contrasting The two accounting software to be selected for the purpose of this comparison and contrast are Adempiere and Apache OFBiz. The generation of data within the system for several activities like customer deliveries, ordering, and sales, there must be generation of data in bulk. There can be use of this data for plotting a number of reports and charts. These tend to be providing reports on the basis of festivals, locality and dates. Adempiere is a software package of enterprise resource planning released in context with a free license of software. The word means for fulfilment or for accomplishment. The license of this software is under the General Public License (GNU). When considering the duration of the fork, Adempiere end up reaching top five rankings on SourceForge.net and remaining on the open source project at top ranks for a long period of time (Garg and Chauhan 2015). The activity of this software is crucial in providing a measure related to the size involved in each and every d eveloper community, while also affecting the open source software market of ERP. Apache OFBiz can be identified as a framework providing a common model of data and a rich combination of process in business. Each and every application is established across a common architecture by the use of process, logic and common data component. Apart from the framework itself, Apache OFBiz has been offering functionality. Some of these include the following (Gruner and Kassel 2012): Scrum Electronic commerce Point of sale based on electronic basis Management of work effort Automation of sales force Management of project Management of group and people Human resources System of content management Management of inventory Processing of order Execution of manufacturing Management system of warehouse and facility Management of product and catalogue Maintenance of asset According to the consideration of accounting software, there is a need for considering certain features while ensuring to meet each and every need of the organization securely and effectively. Among the most significant features for consideration in accounting software is security. Accounting software is responsible for the collection of confidential data in abundance like financial balances, account numbers, and numbers of employer identification and social security. However, if there was obtaining of any information by the unscrupulous, unauthorized individual, this would result in wreaking havoc across the business organization along with its financial consideration (Johansson 2009). Accounting software can be used for documenting and tracking the transactions of finance. The implementation of Accounting Information System does provide significant benefits with the follow up of the above-mentioned processes. The key implementation by these processes results in improving the key ac tivities and steps of implementation. There is huge significance of this system to plan with implementing automated information system of accounting, with the control and measurement of inventory, registration for automated configuration in prices of sales and daily sales, and invoicing (Iacob and Ã…Â ¢aicu 2012). The long listed prices of sales can be testified under the key reason for implementing the accounting information system. Figure 2: ERP System (Source: Abbasi 2014) Justifications for Recommending Vendor Selection: Since there is generation of data within the system for several activities like customer deliveries, ordering, and sales, there must be generation of data in bulk. There can be use of this data for plotting a number of reports and charts. These tend to be providing reports on the basis of festivals, locality and dates. So, the bakery can consider the generation of several reports based on value addition that can be considered as significant for growing the business, reducing the wastages and delays, and effectively increasing the delight of customer and hence, there is an increment of business (Iacob and Ã…Â ¢aicu 2012). B Bakery is a company under family ownership with approximately 70 employees, with increased sales revenue reaching 13.5 million dollars in the year 2015. The company has been conducting its operations since the past 50 years, while supplying confectionary products and bread to various different business organizations that include pub-chains and supermarkets. The company has been experiencing combined fortunes since this time with respect to performance of business. However, since the past few years, the company has been experiencing growth of orders out of new ranges of healthy items (Abbasi 2014). However, since recent time, the Bakery has ended up losing certain accounts due to its inability in the production of products maintaining competitive value of prices. Specifically in this business background, the demand of consumer focuses on obtaining on time delivery and freshly baked products. As a result, B Bakery follows the Just In Time principles for the significant establishment of competitive edge (Rainer et al. 2013). The process of production at B Bakery, considering its basic nature, results in the creation of additional value. In addition, there are processes of distribution, production, storage, procurement and sales. It is worth noting that the overall business is highly dependent on process instead of people. And hence, each and every cycle of production is performed under the requirement of seamlessly executing the overall process. Conclusion Accounting software can be used for documenting and tracking the transactions of finance. This is inclusive of withdrawals and deposits, and may also be inclusive of managing investments and monitoring revenue over sales. Due to this, any businessperson should be having a complete understanding about the program, along with capacity of reporting before the purchases is made (Swords et al. 2008). Also, assistance is provided in the management of finance, with detailed features of reporting for supporting efforts in the maintenance of key for complying with each and every law responsible for the governance of business sector. Even though basic programs of accounting software have been designed appropriately for the simple management of foundational financial transactions, a number of sophisticated packages of software hold the key intension for fully integrating each and every transaction related to the business. The key focus is on fulfilling the needs of bakery with equipment of worl d class and highly innovative lines of processing in the bakery business. The planning of production is set on the basis of experiencing responsible manager of production. Due to this, planning of production takes place in a chaotic scenario (Tan et al. 2013). This often leads towards issues related to ineffective operation and allocation of staff, deficient dimensioning, and bottlenecks. These factors result in distorting the environment of production within which factories do not have the ability of achieving best possible ecological and economical performance. In considering the various branches of the industry, it is extremely beneficial for using virtual models for the detection and improvement of suboptimal processes. As a business of bakery, there should be adaptability in order to change the habits of eating across the globe. The availability of a number of products has expanded and turned out to be extremely global. References Abbasi, H. 2014. Apple Inc.

Apple Inc. Introduction Contemporary issues in marketing and consumer research provisions are critical in the business contexts. This paper discusses Apple Inc. in the context of the contemporary issues it adopts in its marketing and consumer research provision.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Apple Inc. Contemporary Issues in Marketing and Consumer Research specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Such concepts have helped the company to remain competitive in the market and enhance its competitive advantages in the electronics industry. Precisely, contemporary marketing and consumer research refer to how organisations analyze, understand, and meet the needs of their respective customers in the current business world (Pride Ferrell 2006). Apple Inc. produces and sells commodities that address the market needs with precision. In the contemporary market, Apple Inc. has managed to address the unique demands of its customers with various products including the iPhone 4, iPod, iPad, and other technological tablets demanded in the market. A stringent and appropriate marketing concept is a combination of values and considerations made explicitly to address customers’ needs (Kitchen 1986). Nevertheless, these have conformed to the aspects of market segmentation, targeting markets, marketing strategies, and positioning strategies adopted by Apple Inc. Contemporary Marketing Collectives Apple Inc. has selected its specific target markets in order to serve them exceedingly. Customers demands goods, which satisfy their needs with utmost precision and satisfaction (Lamb, Hair McDaniel 2011). It is from this context that the entire business prospects lie in selecting the target market. Additionally, the need to have efficient production mechanisms has always helped Apple Inc. in delivering its business objectives as it addresses its targeted customers’ demands.Advertising Looking for essay on business economics? By understanding these contemporary provisions (Rohloff 1966), Apple Inc. strives to produce quality and affordable electronic products that address its targeted customers’ demands. It is possible to stay afloat in the market if a company considers the contemporary needs of its clients. This is an important provision in various contexts. Additionally, emerging with contemporary products, which embraces the aspects of technology among other provisions, is a considerable move. It is crucial to consider the production capabilities for such clients in the entire context. Importantly, the products namely iPhone 4, iPod, iPad, and other technological tablets target a wider range of customer segments (Rouwenhorst 2009). In this con text of target markets, Apple has a specific population, which it targets with its products. The aspects of market segmentation, business strategies, and target marketing usually contribute constructively. For example, Apple Inc. has to analyze its target markets in order to produce contemporary products that will address their unique demands. Concurrently, iPhone 4 has various features that meet considerable demands of various customers (Stout Burda1989). It targets customers belonging to some social class and literacy. In this context, it has been possible for the company to analyze its market segments and produce products that are appropriate to them. The need to meet the market demands with novel products usually plays critical roles in this context (Morrison 1997). Another concept in this phenomenon is the pricing and distribution capabilities of the company involved immediately after designing and producing its products (Drummond Ensor 2005). The company needs such pricing c apabilities to address the economic capabilities of the target market. Apple has managed to attain massive business opportunities with its contemporary products due to fair pricing, appropriateness, and extensive distribution.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Apple Inc. Contemporary Issues in Marketing and Consumer Research specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More From this concept, it is evident that companies require massive business opportunities in order to attain their marketing concepts with appropriate production mechanisms (Ward, Oliva Reibstein 1994). Contemporarily, increasing the volume of production will eventually reduce the costs, cut prices, increase sales, enhance revenues, and augment profitability as the company sells its products massively to the target market. Apple Inc. has also managed to structure its target markets and production systems to attain low cost products mentioned earlier (Blanchard 2010) . Contextually, this is an important occurrence in the business realms. It is from this concept that numerous contemporary marketing provisions succeed. Managing to uphold the aspects of business production and capabilities in order to reduce costs and other characterising factors is an important provision in the business realms (Mohammed 2010). Determining the target customers, market segment, and the appropriate market strategy for such customers have enabled the company to enhance its sales and customer focus in various contexts. From this argument, the entire business prospects for Apple Inc. have managed to thrive in the global limelight despite the threatening challenges and stringent competition from other contenders. Sustainable Marketing the Green Consumer Sustainable marketing has been a contemporary marketing provision due to its relevance and viability in capturing and retaining clients. Environmental sustainability and consumer protection have been in the fore front of Apple’s marketing objectives.Advertising Looking for essay on business economics? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More The company has managed to attain its contemporary marketing goals through appropriate strategic marketing. This relates to focusing of inadequate resources on identified opportunities in order to increase productivity, sales, and profitability. This has allowed the company to attain considerable competitive advantages. In this context, Apple has managed to embrace the aspects of product concept. Evidently, customers require products that meet their demands with appropriateness. This helps in curbing unnecessary product rejections by the customers (Jin, Suh Donavan 2008). Customers usually demand quality and â€Å"green† products. They are also able to assess the quality and performance provisions of the concerned product. This can massively affect their buying trends. As a marketing concept and a component of strategic marketing, the product provisions must be considered by the concerned company to ensure that it only provides appropriate products that address the demands o f targeted clients. Apple provides products that precisely meet the quality standards desired by the customers. Consequently, it has investigated what the customers demand with regard to quality and other contemporary provisions evident in this context. Additionally, it is important that the company considers the provisions sustainability in its products (Bohm 2009). Additionally, the ability to provide the targeted customers with more than what they expected as evident iPhone 4, iPod, iPad, and other technological tablets is of some sustainability. Additionally, it is important to augment the aspects of quality as witnessed in the Apple Inc.’s products as a component of contemporary and sustainable marketing. The aspects of quality act as promotional agents regardless of countless advertisements. Whenever customers realise that what the concerned company provides is of quality, they will remain loyal (Gupta 2006). This is a crucial provision when considered critically and ev aluated contextually with regard to contemporary marketing. The company has equally managed to position itself favourably in the market hence rendering it quite competitive. It is imperative to consider such aspects with precision. Strategic market positioning helps the concerned company reach its clients promptly and decisively (Vilcox Mohan 2007). From this context, it is apparent that the organisation must observe product concepts as a promotional strategy in the entire context. Managing to address the market demands is a considerable marketing strategy in the global limelight (Brazil Gips 2008). Most products produced by the company have managed to meet the product concepts as argued in this context. Additionally, the need for more elaborated market share and visibility helps the concerned companies to address their market targets upon segmenting their target customers with precision. Evidently, if clients are left to decide on their own, they will not purchase enough products from the concerned company. This might lead to massive losses due to reduced sales. From this concept, it is evident that the concerned companies must promote their products. This allows the targeted market segment to understand the features and benefits of the concerned product. Consequently, they will tend to buy the product with a massive success (Jain 2011). The marketing concepts must consider the aspects of promotion in order to realise any remarkable results. Nonetheless, the concerned companies will find it hard to attain the desired business prospective. Brand Cultures – Recognition and Recall of the Brand Name Apple Inc. recognises the significance of brand name as a contemporary culture in its marketing provisions. The recognition/recall of a brand name is a fundamental aspect that can be used in judging commercials (Hoffman Bateson 2009). They are techniques that search viewers’ memories to trace whether they are aware of an existence of a brand or servic e. Recognition technique is usually direct while recall is an indirect approach to viewers’ memories (Lerman Garbarino 2002). Both are indispensable in television adverts. However, they are not enough, as they are not sufficient in determining the effects of advertisements. Recognition tries to access the memories of the viewers by use of a concept prompted through advertisement. It reminds the viewers that they have seen the product sometimes back. Recall occurs when one prompts with a product name as he looks for reaction on recall of the advert. Contemporarily, recognition is a touching task and is more applicable in judging television commercials. On the other hand, recall involves the use of logic and is more applicable in judging print advertisement. Thus, using recognition in judgment of print advertisement may not be appropriate in the determination of whether a commercial is effective (Krugman 1966). Equally, use of recall in judgment of television adverts may not b e successful in the determination whether a commercial is effective. Therefore, recognition and recall of brand name are not enough measures of determining the effectiveness of adverts (Kevin, Heckler Houston 1998). Other measures are applicable in judging the effectiveness of television commercials. One of the other measures that can be used in determining the effectiveness of commercials is persuasive ability. Recognition and recall are attempts to ensure that the viewers have memory of existence of the brand. On the other hand, persuasion checks the results that the advert has on viewers’ behaviour towards a brand. Persuasion checks the response that individuals have towards commercials (Andrews et al., 1992). It does not check whether individuals recognise or recall the brand, but rather the response that individuals have towards the brand. Apple Inc. has established novel foundations for its contemporary marketing activities. The company has installed marketing campaign s, loyalty programs, and new marketing materials. All these have followed similar positioning and marketing strategies as evident in this context. Evidently, consumers have always shown a normal tendency to resist. This indicates the essence to have aggressive promotional programs and positioning strategies to enhance their tolerability. As a contemporary marketing concept, ability to induce consumers is of a massive consideration. It is important to enhance such aspects as indicated earlier. Apple Inc. has managed to uphold the aspects of selling concepts and positioning strategies in order to capture a considerable market divide, global presence, and market saturation (Ogrady 2009). Evidently, both companies produce quality products; nonetheless, these can only sell if the company enacts appropriate marketing and positioning strategies that will induce customers to buy the concerned products (Shoham 1996). Contextually this is an important provision when considered decisively. It is appropriate to consider such provisions before approaching the market with novel products. Due to emergence of technology and other beneficial product provisions, the company has been introducing fresh product into the market with due appropriateness. Concurrently, it has established appropriate marketing concepts to help it rock the concerned markets with profitability (Rajagopal 2000). This means that the aspects of selling relates to the provisions of advertisements, positioning strategies, and other promotional procedures. Ability to enhance sales depends on how the company has handled its marketing concepts and other promotional provisions relevant to the concerned products. It is important to consider such provisions in various contexts. Consequently, it is apparent that both companies used appropriate promotional vessels to ensure that they remain relevant in their business endeavours and reach numerous potential clients globally (Martin, Vicky-Thuy-Uyen Ji-Yeon 2002). Fr om this context, it is apparent that most business orientations are favoured by appropriate promotional strategies. Contemporarily, in order to allow iPhone to sell in the global market, the company has enacted stringent and appropriate selling concepts and brand cultures to ensure that its products sell in the global market. This relates to the aspects of suggestible mass advertisements and appropriate positioning strategies. Conclusion The contemporary issues in marketing and consumer research provisions are critical in the business contexts as indicated before. The paper discussed Apple Inc. in the context of contemporary issues it embraces in its marketing and consumer research. The contemporary marketing concepts established and ratified by this company have helped the company to remain competitive in the market and enhance its competitive advantages in the electronics industry. , Apple Inc. has managed to enhance its market presence and profitability through establishment of a ppropriate contemporary marketing concepts. Additionally, favourable strategic marketing, macro/micro-environmental forces, market segmentation, targeting markets, marketing strategies, and positioning strategies have equally contributed to its success. It is recommendable to uphold such provisions in the spheres of effectiveness, appropriateness, and prosperity. This is a vital consideration in various contexts. Addressing marketing concepts appropriately augments profits, customer satisfaction, and loyalty. These regard how the organisations analyze, understand, and meet the needs of its respective customers in the current business. In the contemporary market, Apple Inc. produces and sells commodities that address the market needs with precision. This is critical in the context of business management and prompt delivery of services. Free Essays on The Impressionist Era

The invention of the still photograph changed a lot of things. Artists were no longer limited to landscapes and portraits. They started to develop their inner vision. These individual movements progressed from Classical art to Romanticism to Realism to Impressionism to Abstraction; the list goes on. One interesting area of art includes the Impressionistic era. This time period ranged from 1870 to 1890. In just a short 20 years, the main artists moved from staid landscapes to expressing their inner views in short expressive brush strokes to changing the colors from the naturalistic color schemes of past works. This era actually started from a rejection. A group of artists whose work was declined for the 1873 Salon show organized an independent exhibition of their work (Preble 387). They began to emulate the camera using various camera abilities, namely the rendition of light on the subject matter and the camera's final print as a "snapshot" on canvas. Claude Monet lived from 1840 to 1926. In 1858, he met Eugene Boudin who introduced him to outdoor paintings. Monet thought Boudin lost a few marbles, but once he attempted this new way of attaining subject matter, he adapted it to his own use. With the invention of the still photograph, he became enthralled with the accurate recording of natural light, atmosphere and color (Biography.com). His painting: Impression: Sunrise, inspired a hostile newspaper reporter to call all the artists in this rogue exhibition: Impressionists. Monet uses impressionism as an illusionistic style. His renditions were greatly different from the old masters’ landscapes. Because of his enthusiasm with the reaction of light, his paintings would gain larger, bolder brush strokes as he attempted to catch "A moment of time." MSN Encarta states: This technique of bright, unmixed colors in quick strokes would become the hallmark of impressionism. According the Art Institute of Chicago’s website, ...

Film Analyse, Analyse Mise-en-scene, in The Red Shoes (1948 film)and Essay

Film Analyse, Analyse Mise-en-scene, in The Red Shoes (1948 film)and do Ten shots analyse of it - Essay Example Central to the plot is the clash between Miss Victoria Page’s (played by Moira Shearer) artistic ambition and her love life. Tragedy looms large in this type of plot set up and inevitably Miss Page is ruined by this conflict. In this way the plot and the simple straightforward narrative do not match the creative and exuberant visual imagery. Despite the said flaws, the film is worth studying purely its picturization and visual aesthetics. This essay will is an endeavour to study the mise-en-scene of a handful of scenes from the film. To be able to understand the principles being applied for constructing various shots, one has to keep in mind Michael Powell’s philosophy in filmmaking. Powell believed in the notion of the ‘composed film’, in which, â€Å"music, emotion and acting made a complete whole, of which the music was the master†. (Mayer, 2008, p.48) This philosophy is writ large in The Red Shoes, as well as Powell’s other notable films B lack Narcissus (1947) and The Tales of Hoffmann (1951). As a matter of fact, in The Red Shoes, Lermontov says to Miss Page on more than one occasion that â€Å"music is everything†. This is perhaps a reflection of Powell’s own understanding of composing a film. ... riest (danced by Ivan Boleslawsky/Robert Helpmann), to an infernal, red-lit space that is inhabited by the ballet's demonic shoemaker (danced by Ljubov/Leonid Massine).† (Grist, 2012, p.28) These sequences of events are synchronized to the tempo and prompt of the instrumental music. Just as the musical composition by Brian Easdale carries symmetry and repetitive structures within it, the performance of The Ballet of the Red Shoes display a similar arrangement. There is a conscious attempt on part of the directors to unite the strands of various media of art into one dramatic output. It is this accentuation of dramatic effect thus produced which accounts for the continuing remembrance of this film and its ballet performances by generations of film audiences. (Mclean, 2008, p. 135) As a treatise on cinematic art, the film reveals its exceptional ability to exploit the medium and alter accepted boundaries. In its own implicit way, The Red Shoes goes on to shatter the myths surroun ding fairytales, the world of classical ballet and the myths surrounding cinema itself. The notion that fairytales all end on a happy note is refuted in the film. Instead, the comforting aspects of Christen Anderson’s fairy tale (upon which the film is based) are disillusioned and the underlying horror is revealed. For example, the earlier part of the film has the audience believe that Vicky and Julian will live happily ever after. But as events unfold and take a dire turn, the aspirations of the couple are frustrated. In Anderson’s fairytale, a young girl, similar in age and disposition to Vicky Page, wishes to wear the red shoes. But upon wearing them, she cannot stop herself from dancing. This eventually leads to unbearable exhaustion she even resorts to ask the executioner to have mercy

The article points out how lack of SME authority has affected SMEs in Saudi Arabia. Langston Hughes Salvation Essay Example for Free

Langston Hughes Salvation Essay Some people may believe that salvation comes to those who deserve it. Others may believe that salvation comes to those who seek it. Still, there are those who believe that salvation is not a privilege but is rather a free gift for all. But for Langston Hughes, it appears that salvation for him is not what it seems to be. Apparently, Langston projects the image that a childs innocence may be a way of looking at salvation in such a way that our basic senses and sensibilities are put back to their simplest and uncorrupted state, devoid of fear from non-conformity from dogma and filled with eagerness to experience what is real. Perhaps Langston Hughes is attempting to channel across the message that adulthood or perhaps our matured state, so to speak, has dictated so much of what we believe in that we forget that we were once innocent beings eager to absorb what the world was willing to give us. This is the point where I would like to agree with Langston Hughes. In the many events in our lives that shape who we are and what we want—apart from the things that we want to want—our daily experiences have largely contributed to our personality and character. Sometimes an encounter with an atheist will strike your faith and religious beliefs and be put aback into a state of doubt, weighing odds at both ends and figuring out if your faith is strong enough to resist the temptation of atheism. Or perhaps an encounter with a tribesman living in a far-off, desolate forest may change the way you look at life, especially in terms of material possession. Whether or not we have already encountered these things, it can hardly be doubted that our personal experiences shares a large role in shaping our identities as individuals. As we grow, we start to acquire more of these experiences. Not surprisingly, our earlier knowledge is replaced with fresher ones, relieving ourselves of the burden of having to carry the weight of obsolete beliefs as we go on with our lives. This is the point where Langston Hughes may very well agree: we have grown to a point that we can remember all but one—our state of innocence. It does not surprise me at all to see individuals busy with the complexities of life. After all, people change and so are the things we experience. The evolution of humanity, apart from the scientific sense, has paved the way for more of these complexities. And sometimes we are prompted to lie or to deceive ourselves out of innocence in order to blend together with our environment. In order to convince other people, Hughes lied which made others reaffirm their belief in salvation. No doubt the believers would believe all the more in cases where their beliefs are reaffirmed at least by what they see. But sometimes—in fact, many times—what they see is not the one we or others see. In the end, we are confronted with the startling feeling of self-deception after convening and bending to what others believe in. We mourn over our mistakes and hope to convince ourselves that all will be well although it simply cannot be the case after our actions have been committed. Salvation is such a broad concept that it simply cannot be confined within the closed spaces of churches and congregations alone. If, indeed, salvation is free for all then why must there be a need to encroach ourselves into religious orders? And for God or Allahs name, where among these hundreds, if not thousands, of religious dominions are we to find salvation? Langston Hughes Salvation embodies these important points and the rest of what has been said here. Maturity betrays us in such a way that our innocence is hindered from allowing us to view the world outside the box detached from whatever it is that ties us to dogma, delusion and self-proclaimed salvation. Gender Differences in Workplace Essay

In the emerging global economy, the world economic system today is much more open than it was only a decade ago. The world is fast becoming interdependent global market place. Competitiveness will be on an international basis wherein knowledge and skills of the workforce posed great challenge as it will be the key competitive weapon for the 21st century. While the global economy emerges here in the Philippines and so does stress. Stress – that can be felt by those who are in the frontline and those who are in the corporate ladder. Stress was first introduced by Walter Cannon along with the fight or flight response, and often than not one would feel changes in body temperature, the heart will beat faster and blood pressure alleviates and faster blood clotting once entered this phase. Stress is one of the factors why majority of the employees in management level become ill or at some point the reason for leaving their post. Over the past couple of decade, this has been the major concern of employers with their employees. Most of the big companies even allocate budget for the employee’s well being and prevention of such stress. Vacation leave has been around the working industry for a long time, since it will definitely help reduce stress and at some point sick leaves can be use to tend to stress. Many factors inside the company may affect sources of stress, there is the nature of work, threats in lay-offs, salary, time of work (e.g. graveyard shift), deadlines and managers themselves – well these are some of the stressors among those who are in the workforce of a company. Filipino workforce front liners has a clue on how to overcome stress, we might get a chance to see how most of the call center agents cope with stress outside of their company building by smoking cigarettes. But that is just one in so many ways on how to cope with stress. It is also notable that stress helps  an individual to perform well on a given task, the important moderator in the military context, for individual and groups, is training. Stress exposure training, in which individuals are exposed to simulated stressors and forced to perform target skills under them, can build familiarity with potential stressors, teach individuals strategies to maintain performance under stress, and contribute to over learning, task mastery, and increased self-confidence. Stress exposure training can also be effective in improving group performance under stress by teaching groups how to adapt their performance strategies to external stressors and alerting them to how other team members will be affected by stress. Groups that undergo training, tend to have better communication, teamwork and feedback strategies that help them to work together under stress (Kavanagh, 2005). Stress is an inevitable buddy in workers of fast food, BPOs and other offices -both public and private. Stress, both good and bad contribute to the efficacy and quality of service that an employee can offer. This study aims to know how stress affects those who are in the corporate ladder. Harris (2011) in behalf of American Psychological Association made a study last 2011 involving 1546 adult employees regarding work stress shows that 36% of the respondents feel stressed out with their job. And those who have high and low level of stress feel that they are less likely satisfied with their job. With this being said, we can take note that sufficient amount of stress is needed as a means of motivation. And that is what this study is all about. How stress affect both men and women who are in the corporate ladder. How they cope with a bucket of stress, and how to turn the tides to their favor. Statement of the Problem This study is conducted to determine the impact of stress among those who are in the corporate ladder in Metro Manila. Swing States - List and Definition

Swing states are those in which neither major political party holds a lock on the outcome of presidential elections. The term can also be used to describe a state whose electoral votes have a high probability of being the deciding factor in a presidential election. Swing states are also sometimes referred to as battleground states. More than a dozen states are considered swing states, and most of them hold a large number of electoral votes and are considered major prizes in presidential elections. Presidential campaigns focus on these states since the election is decided by electoral votes chosen by the popular vote of each state and not by a direct national popular vote. Safe states, on the other hand, are those where a majority of voters are expected to vote either for the Democratic or Republican candidate, so those electoral votes are considered to be safely on the candidate of that partys tally. List of Swing States The states most often described as being up in the air or ones that could side with either a Republican or Democratic presidential candidate are: Arizona:  11 electoral votes. The state voted for the Republican presidential nominee in 10 of the last 11 elections.Colorado: Nine  electoral votes.  The state voted for the Republican presidential nominee in seven of the last 11 elections.Florida: 29  electoral votes.  The state voted for the Republican presidential nominee in seven of the last 11 elections.Georgia: 16  electoral votes.  The state voted for the Republican presidential nominee in eight  of the last 11 elections.Iowa: Six  electoral votes.  The state voted for the Democratic presidential nominee in six of the last 11 elections.Michigan: 16  electoral votes.  The state voted for the Democratic presidential nominee in six  of the last 11 elections.  Minnesota: 10 electoral votes.  Ã‚  The state voted for the Democratic presidential nominee in each of the last 11 elections.Nevada: Six  electoral votes.  The state voted for the Republican presidential nominee in six of the last 11 electi ons.New Hampshire:  Four electoral votes. The state voted for the Democratic presidential nominee in six of the last 11 elections.North Carolina: 15  electoral votes.  The state voted for the Republican presidential nominee in nine of the last 10 elections.Ohio: 18 electoral votes.  The state voted for the Republican presidential nominee in six of the last 11 elections.Pennsylvania: 20  electoral votes.  The state voted for the Democratic presidential nominee in seven of the last 11 elections.  Virginia: 13 electoral votes.  The state voted for the Republican presidential nominee in eight of the last 11 elections.Wisconsin: 10  electoral votes.  The state voted for the Democratic presidential nominee in eight of the last 11 elections.   Texas is mentioned as a possible swing state in the 2020 presidential election. It voted for the Republican nominee in 10 of the last 11 elections, with Jimmy Carter in 1976 being the last Democrat to win the state. Swing Voters and Their Role States that shift back and forth between candidates of both major political parties in presidential elections could be evenly divided between voters registered Republican and Democratic. Or they could have large numbers of swing voters, those who tend to vote for individual candidates and not the party and have no loyalty to a party. The portion of the American electorate made up of swing voters ranges from about a quarter to a third between presidential elections, according to the Pew Research Center. The number of swing voters declines when an incumbent president is seeking a second term. Different Uses of Swing State The term swing state is used in two different ways. The most popular use of swing state is to describe one in which the popular vote margin in a presidential race is relatively narrow and fluid, meaning that either a Republican or Democrat could win the states electoral votes in any given election cycle. Others define swing states as those that could be the tipping point in a presidential election. For example, Nate Silver, a widely read political journalist writing on The New York Times blog FiveThirtyEight, defined the term swing state this way: When I employ the term, I mean a state that could swing the outcome of the election. That is, if the state changed hands, the victor in the Electoral College would change as well.
